really? already it's the last day of august is autumn is most certainly in the air. we had a couple of weeks of very hot and humid weather here in new jersey, but today i felt a new crisp breeze, and it felt good. adelaide will be 8 months old in just a week.
i was thinking the other night about what a privilege it is to be a mom (or a parent in general). i cannot think of any greater gift in life. often times at night when adelaide has been asleep for a while my heart has a little ache in it... i miss her! this little girl that i have spent hours and hours taking care of all day long, finally i get a little break, and i just want to sneak into her room and watch her breathe. i look forward to watching her grow - i just hope it doesn't happen too fast!
i started this blog right after my dad died, nearly 4 months ago. while most days are good, some days are harder than ever. i just want to share my life with him. it's good to know though that he would be so proud of me. i miss my brothers more than ever and long for a day when we can all be together again.
the Lord has blessed our family once again - it looks as though ben will be getting a raise this month at work! we are very unsure as to what the future holds, but we cling to the truth that God has a purpose for our lives.
