Wow! What a crazy busy month we have had. We spent nearly 2 weeks in Oklahoma to see family and use up all of Ben's vacation days for the next year and send me now into a deep depression... Not serious about the depression part, but a few times a week I am literally thinking about the people I wish we could go see all over the US, and across the ocean (friends/babies in Nashville, Australia, Thanksgiving back in Oklahoma, my friend having a baby in New Jersey, meeting Amanda's twins... ahh!). I am so very grateful for Ben's job (I repeat this many times a day, too) and for God's provision for us. Obviously, we can't live in one place to see every one we know, so for now, this place will do. I spend as much time with Andy, Kerry, and my sweet baby niece, Emaline, as possible, because chances are we will not live here forever so this time is very precious.

A few days after we returned home from Charlie's first vacation, Adelaide started school... wahh!!! My baby girl... it is just a day school at First Baptist Church that she attends 2 days a week, 3 hours a day. Adelaide absolutely loves it. Ever since we took a tour of the school back in June, she has been excitedly waiting to go to school. She loves her teachers but hasn't made many friends yet, according to her. I think part of the problem is that most of the kids are crying when they get dropped off and she keeps asking why they are crying to go to school - it doesn't make sense to her. One girl she has told me a few times is her friends, so that is reassuring.

Today is actually Adelaide's first full day at school, full day meaning a full 3 hours. So I have a little bit of extra time in my day! Charlie sleeps during this time so it works out nicely. We came home from dropping Adelaide off, (and the whole way home I had to work hard to keep the little guy asleep, rubbing his cheek, threatening his life should he fall asleep before we got home...) got Charlie settled into bed, and then my time began. I sat in bed and read my daily devotions, came downstairs to do the dishes, grabbed a cup of TJ's Mint Melange tea with a
zucchini applesauce muffin, and sat down to catch up on my blogs that I follow. And now this. Next I will start preparing dinner for our small group tonight. These couple of hours that I have now are very special, but I am already looking forward to picking up Adelaide from school soon :)
